Terms of Service

Effective date: January 4, 2026

These Terms of Service outline the expectations, responsibilities, and boundaries for working with Plutus Bookkeeping & Tax Services (“I”, “me”, or “my”). By booking services, you agree to the terms below.

 

1. Services Provided

I offer:

  • Bookkeeping
  • Tax preparation
  • Financial literacy support
  • Systems setup and cleanup
  • Custom spreadsheet tools
  • Ongoing support services

All services are delivered virtually to clients across Ontario.

 

2. Client Responsibilities

To provide accurate and timely service, you agree to:

  • Provide complete and truthful information
  • Submit documents by agreed‑upon timelines
  • Communicate honestly about delays or challenges
  • Review completed work and ask questions if needed

I work in a trauma‑informed, judgment‑free way — you can always tell me if you’re overwhelmed or need extra support.

 

3. Payment Terms

  • Pricing is discussed clearly before work begins
  • Payment plans are available upon request
  • I do not charge late fees or cancellation fees
  • Services pause if payments fall behind
  • Work resumes once payments are caught up

I do not allow clients to accumulate significant debt with me. This protects your financial stability and my sustainability.

 

4. Refunds

  • Tax preparation and bookkeeping services are non‑refundable once completed
  • My custom spreadsheet template is a one‑time, non‑refundable purchase
  • If you are unhappy with any service, please contact me — I will always work with you to find a fair solution

 

5. Confidentiality & Privacy

Your information is handled according to my Privacy Policy, which follows PIPEDA requirements.
I do not sell or share your information except when required by law or when necessary to complete your services (e.g., CRA filing).

 

6. Limitation of Liability

I provide services with care, accuracy, and professionalism. However, I am not responsible for:

  • Penalties or interest resulting from missing or late documents
  • Errors caused by incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client
  • Technical issues with third‑party software (e.g., QuickBooks, CRA systems)

If an error occurs on my end, I will correct it promptly at no additional cost.

 

7. Ending Our Working Relationship

You may end services at any time.
I may also end services if:

  • Communication breaks down
  • Payments fall significantly behind
  • There is a breach of trust or disrespect

All outstanding fees must be paid before final documents are released.

 

8. Updates to These Terms

These Terms may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
